Baby Care Basics 0-6 months & 6-12 months (Virtual Workshops)

Baby Care Basics is a virtual session that welcomes families with babies between the ages of 1-6 and 6-12 months for an informal and collaborative educational session about baby care including sleep, solids, skin care and safety. The group is a one-time group with up to 15 families per session and there is no cost to participate.

The groups will be facilitated via Zoom (secure video via healthcare version of Zoom) by Dr. Maralyn Hope and Dr. Stephanie Stacey

All babies at South Hill Health and South Community Birth Program are welcome to attend.

6-12 months - THURSDAY, July 22nd from 2-3:30 PM with Dr. Hope

0-6 months - MONDAY, JULY 26th from 2-3:30 PM with Dr. Stacey - FULL AND TAKING A WAITLIST

Motherlode Postpartum Series


This group is intended for those who identify as a mother who are struggling with any form of depression, anxiety or being overwhelmed in the postpartum period (baby or toddler up to 3 years of age). The group runs once a week for 6 weeks and covers information on diagnosis, symptoms and treatments of depression, anxiety & just simply feeling overwhelmed. Self-care is an important focus that is woven into the 6 week course with specific sessions on nutrition, exercise, sleep, making time for yourself and gathering supports. We review goal setting together each week, specific to your self-care and well-being. For the continuity and cohesiveness of the group, it is important that you commit to attending all six sessions. Groups are facilitated by Dr. Maralyn Hope.

The next Motherlode group runs for 6 weeks starting in the Fall and Winter. We will not be running the workshop during the summer.

Participation is limited and fills up quickly! If you are interested but this group if full, we will add your name to a waitlist for the next session. These groups are run ongoing throughout the year and are not drop-in, you must be registered to attend.

Circle of Security Parenting Workshop


Circle of Security Parenting Group - on Zoom

Circle of security parenting is an evidence-based relationship-building program based on attachment theory. The group runs for a total of 9 weeks and focuses on understanding a childs' emotional needs, building relationships between caregivers and children, and raising secure children. This group is for parents and caregivers of children ages 6 months to 5 years.

Participants must commit to all 9 sessions. This group runs between Monday evenings for two hours, facilitated virtually via Zoom (secure video).

If you have not previously expressed interest in Circle of Security, please email us at southevents@hush.com and we will add your name to our current waitlist. These groups are run ongoing throughout the year.

Don't forget to include your full legal name, preferred email address, and the names and ages of your children. In order to be eligible, you need to be able to converse and read English and have an active care card. This group is free.

The groups are expertly led by Pamal Deol, our Nurse Practitioner.

Options for Sexual Health Clinic

AT THIS TIME OPTIONS CLINICS ARE CURRENTLY SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19.

Every Thursday evening, we hold the South Hill Opt clinic, which is a sexual health clinic that provides sexual and reproductive health services for all genders, all orientations and all ages. Services include low-cost contraception, IUD insertions, STI care, Pap screening, pregnancy testing and pregnancy options counselling.

This clinic is separate from the South Hill Family Practice clinic. Everyone is welcome to attend and must go through Options for Sexual Health for booking.
